Derived from the Hebrew root salal, meaning to raise or exalt, Selah reminds us to celebrate the here and now, even as we journey forward.
In a world that demands we hit the ground running as soon as the clock strikes midnight on January 1st, we’ve decided to chart a different course for 2025. This year, we’re slowing down. We’re easing into what we’re called to. You know the saying, “slow and steady wins the race”? That’s our anthem this year.
We’re taking the time to pause, to breathe, and to lift up a praise. Instead of rushing toward what’s next, we’re choosing to savor where we are right now. Before we plan, push, or hustle, we’ll celebrate—amping up the instruments in joy and gratitude for the moment we’re in.
Last year, I wrote a book called While We Wait. It came from a season where I felt caught in a cycle of waiting—waiting for the next opportunity, the next open door, the next chapter of life.
